Juvenile

1 Z Humor 12-1

Ran very big chasing War Pass around the track.  Word is he hasn't looked very good since in works, going to pass this one.

2 War Pass 5-2

Huge jump to a giant figure in last on a somewhat speed favoring track.

3 Kodiak Kowboy 8-1

Hasn't done much wrong in his career.  Was very impressive while rallying into a speed favoring track at Saratoga before regressing at Belmont while trying to overcome a pedestrian pace.  I'm looking for a rebound here, but will it be enough?

4 Slew's Tiznow 15-1 (Scr)

Scratched.

5 Sure Do 30-1

Sure won't.  No speed at all, which is ok in SoCal and other fake dirt venues, but not on dirt.

6 Overextended 50-1

He will be overextended.

7 Pyro 6-1

Improved sharply when trying a route of ground and now gets a second turn and another half furlong.

8 Globilization 20-1

A big step up from a big figure maiden score.  Tough to imagine him battling War Pass into submission, and if he did, still hanging on to win.

9 Old Man Buck 20-1

Improving sort on turf/poly, but still a long way to go while moving back to dirt he floundered on in his debut.

10 Tale of Ekati 7-2

Horse should relish the distance.  If anyone can run down War Pass, it should be him.  Tough trip last time overcoming the pace and gate trouble.

11 Dixie Chatter 10-1 (Scr)

Scratched

12 Salute the Sarge 12-1

What happened to speed in California?  They used to have fast horses there, no?

13 Wicked Style 10-1

Horse has done nothing wrong, winning all three polytrack starts on or near the lead.  That alone is a big plus, and his figures are good and getting better.

RECAP: I'll be very surprised if one of the five ML favorites don't win this.  I don't see any of them offering anything special value wise, so I'll just use them in multi race bets.
